The SABAI top by Susanne Müller is a light and airy summer top with a boat neckline. It is super easy to knit, requires only a few techniques and is therefore ideal for beginners. In addition to the SABAI Top No. 1 with ribbed borders, there is also a second, completely in stockinette stitch, knit version - the SABAI Top No. 2.
Techniques: left- and right leaning knitted and purled increases.
Materials (Must be purchased prior to first class):

- Needles: US6 (4.0mm) 24" and 32" circular
- 459 - 919 yards (420 - 840 m) DK-Worsted wt yarn
- Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers
Homework-bring completed gauge swatch to first class
Gauge Swatch: With selected yarn and US6 (4.0mm) needles cast on 30 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for 40 rows. Bind off. Soak swatch in cool water for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze out excess water and roll in towel. Lay swatch flat to dry.
