Class List: Spring 2023

Big Granny Square with Beverly Army Williams

March 26th from 11am-1pm

There are many variations of granny squares, including multi-color and single color. In this class, we’ll review the crochet stitches and techniques you’ll use to make the Churchmouse Yarns “One Big Granny Square” throw or pillow. We’ll also look at creating smaller granny squares, the ultimate portable project, that you can join together to make a scarf, wrap, afghan, or other project. Depending on the yarn you use, you can create a variety of effects, from retro to modern. Once you have the basics down, experiment to your heart’s content!

Cost: $45, pattern and yarn not included.

Darn it, too! with Beverly Army Williams

March 26th from 1:30-3:30

So many of you asked for this class again:

Have you seen the Katrinkles Darning Loom in the shop and been intrigued? And maybe a little intimidated? In this workshop, you will learn how to use the loom to darn your knits and mend your wovens. Bring a knitted piece with a small hole, or a knitted swatch (that you don't mind cutting into), and a woven shirt or tablecloth with a small hole (or a piece of fabric that you don't mind cutting into). You will also need embroidery floss for the woven fabric.

We will have scraps for you to play with or you can bring your own. You will need a Katrinkles Loom for this class.

Cost: $45
